Faisalabad, Punjab government has raised the medical & dental college entry test fee up to 100 % comparing with the last year medical and dental college entry test fee during last year. According to the statistics of previous year, total 36, 098 candidates appeared in the medical and dental college admission test and they were charged for Rs.500 per students. The total income of entry test fee was amounted to Rs.1,80,49,000 but the expenditure were raised to Rs.3,68,26,380. At that time Punjab government had to sanction Rs 2 crore to meet the whole expenses being spend on the entry test.
To avoid huge expenses and sanction amount to meet the expenses, Punjab government has decided to raise the entry test fee to 100% from the last year fee from the candidates, who are going to appear in the medical and dental college admission entry test. There are approximately 40,000 candidates will be appeared in the medical and dental colleges entry test and they will be charged with Rs.1000 per students, which will be sufficient amount to meet the expenditure being spent on the entry test, which has been estimated to Rs.3.5 million. The entry test of the candidates will be conducted on Sept 22, 2013.
